ABOUT ISAO
ISAO was founded in March 2024 by Yu Zhu, a 10th grader at Great Neck South High School, with a vision to prepare middle and high school students the necessary skills to conduct real astronomy research. In doing so, Yu and her high school collaborators established "satellite hubs," outlining astronomy, math, and coding skills needed in every grade level. ISAO soon began offering coding tutorials, sci-fi workshops, astronomy guides, and even mentorship connections with NASA and George Tech! These resources were the structural support that aspiring astronomers needed to succeed.
